In Kruger National Park at last, fulfilling a lifetime dream!

One of the best parts of wildlife-viewing here is that the animals are very used to seeing cars with people in them so most of the time they stay where they are, allowing for far too many photos....

Burning is one of the chief management tools used to keep grasslands producing grass for all the grazing animals. Burns are done at the end of winter (now) in order for the spring rains to help bring on the new grass.

Wildebeests and zebras hang around together a lot. All animals have right of way, and all watchers must simply wait, or turn around and go back.

If you click on this photo, you'll see a huge croc on the shore right where the impalas are coming down for water. One impala in particular seemed very curious about the croc and kept stepping closer and closer to it. My heart was beating way too hard for an ex-heart patient! Jock wanted to put this caption: "Invitation: drinks and dinner....."

Sabie Stars, flowers blooming right from the stems of this spectacular plant, and one of the very few flowers in the park in this exceptionally dry winter.
